Job Description:

The University of Texas at Austin Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in structural engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a sponsored research program, supervise graduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in service to the university and the profession. The department seeks a person with expertise in the design and behavior of steel structures. The successful candidate will have access to experimental facilities for full-scale testing of structural systems, high-performance computing facilities and advanced materials testing facilities.

Applicants must have an earned Ph. D. degree in civil engineering or equivalent. Applications from women and minorities are encouraged.
